Comparing version 48 and version 47
- General
- A small Radiant Handbook is in the works, but is currently very rough. Please help us flesh out the details!
- Radius Tags
- Curious about the tags that are available to a Radiant site? Be sure to read Tag Primers "1":http://radiantcms.org/blog/archives/2006/05/11/tag-primer/ and "2":http://radiantcms.org/blog/archives/2006/06/15/tag-primer-2/. There is also a "page in the handbook":/Using_Radiant which has some useful information. If you are really inquisitive, check out the source for "standard_tags.rb":http://dev.radiantcms.org/radiant/browser/trunk/radiant/app/models/standard_tags.rb. The "Radius Quickstart Guide":http://radius.rubyforge.org/files/QUICKSTART.html also has some great pointers for creating tags.
- Extensions
- A beautiful tutorial has been written that will help you create your first extension. There is
alsoawhole(pre v0.6.8) list of third party extensions to give you a head start on your current projects. There is a global "extensions registry":http://ext.radiantcms.org/extensions (created coincidentally with the "v0.6.8 release":http://radiantcms.org/blog/archives/2008/07/27/radiant-0-6-8---incise-release/ ) of extensions with installer/uninstaller scripts. - How Tos and Tutorials
- The Radiant Handbook contains a number of helpful How Tos and Tutorials.
- Read the Source Code
- The best way to learn about Radiant, by far, is to read the source. Ruby is extremely easy to read and Radiant is a straight forward Rails application. So don't be afraid of the source, dig in! The "app directory":http://github.com/radiant/radiant/tree/master/app is a good place to start.
- See Radiant in Action
- There are an increasing number of Radiant Users with live sites. Feel free to add your own site.
- Radiant Pros
- Looking for some help with your website? Radiant Pros can help you get it done.
- Radiant Hosts
- "AVLUX":http://avlux.net specializes in Radiant hosting, hosts this site, and includes complete setup and support with all hosting plans.
- Summer Reboot Radiant Documentation
- Summer Reboot is an effort to create comprehensive documentation for Radiant, covering the main aspects of working with Radiant, including the use of common extensions, etc. The documentation generated in this effort will be eventually merged into the Radiant Handbook once it has achieved a certain level of maturity. Join in and help out if you have the time.
